Diane Lane was thankfully not in those trainwrecks, but she is filming a sci-fi film now with both Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson. You may remember Hayden as the brooding, boring teenaged Anakin Skywalker. You remember Samuel L. Jackson as the brooding, boring Jedi knight Mace Windu.
The movie is called "Jumper" and the plot involves Hayden developing an ability to jump through time. He uses this ability to try to save the life of his long-dead mother, played by Lane. I'm willing to give this film the benefit of the doubt because George Lucas has nothing to do with it, and whoever casts Diane Lane in anything has to at least have some kind of a head on their shoulders.
